Garden Path

Well here's my entry example I made for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team tryouts . . . I think it turned out pretty good considering I just had neck surgery and I stayed up till late and got it turned in just under the deadline wire!

You'll notice that there's a vellum insert; which is what I attached my water colored stamped image on.

I just love Heartfelt Creations' Ornate Gateway die! So airy and delicate looking.

Makes me want to walk on through into the quiet garden and curl up under a big tree with a good book for the afternoon. . .

The Scenery Builder Stamp set by Heartfelt Creations helps you add those little extra touches and add dimension to your projects. I chose to add punched and layered flowers on mine.

Just for fun and a change of pace, I used flowers that I had stamped and made using the Poesy Patch stamp set by Heartfelt Creations.  Under my salutation I glued the pediment from my gate die cutouts and embellished further. Gotta have my bling!

So I'll be letting everyone know if I make it into the semifinals - say a few prayers for me if you think of it :0)  Until then I'll keep doin what I'm doin lovin every minute of it too! I am so blessed to be able to teach and design for Grapevine Designs & GBM Mesa - you both ROCK!!!!

    1. Wow! Janelle, you make me feel like a real art-teest - LOL But seriously, thank you for such a compliment! I too love adding water color to stamped images as it does ad a different or more realistic feeling to them. As for getting on the team, that would be such an honor!! Your prayers, spreading the word and your vote will help in making that happen, but we will see what "PaPa" has planned for me! ;o)

    1. Hi there Penny! Thanks! Don't you just love Heartfelt Creations' Ornamental Gateways Die cut too!!! You can do so much with it. I even used it in one of my semi final projects! I just had to adorn that beautiful gate with beautiful flowers. ;o) I just imagined a Victorian garden overflowing with blossoms of every kind; draping over the entry as well. So that’s what happened and that’s what came out of my crazy head of mine. (o_0) LOL any-who . . . Thank you very much! And I hope you will enjoy my semi final project just as much!

    1. Hello Marjorie, thank you so much for your support and encouragement and for choosing to follow me! I am currently switching over my info from two other sites to this one and it is a slow process - so I hope you will bear with me. In the mean time you can check out some of my other pieces on my f.b. page in my photos and on my Pinterest page under "my creations" board. You can find both of them I believe by typing in "quicherz" or Quiche Laurie Perry. Do check back here though as I will be adding my semi-finals projects on here next! Will be in touch so. Thank you again for your new found loyalty!
